Oven-Baked Pork Chop
Since we’ve given up fried foods for Lent we needed to find an alternative to our beloved fried pork chop. This oven-baked pork chop is easy and every bit as delicious.
- Mix 3 cups cold water 3 teaspoons salt and additional seasonings like pepper or peppercorns, garlic flakes. Stir and submerge pork chops. Brine overnight.
- Heat over to 400 with skillet in the oven.
- Dry pork chops and rub with olive oil and a bit of salt.
- USE HOT PADS and put skillet on medium-high heat. Sear pork chops for 3 minutes. Flip over pork chops with tongs and immediately place in oven.
- Roast pork chops 6-7 minutes.
